EastEnders fans have branded the new Lily Slater a ‘mini Stacey’ after the actress was replaced.
In last night’s episode (Tuesday, September 23) Stacey returned to Walford with her daughters Lily and Hope.
As she arrived back on Albert Square, she immediately approached Ruby and the two started arguing over over Ruby’s stolen money.

As Ruby called Stacey a “thieving cow” Lily stepped into the conversation yelling: “Oi! Don’t talk to my mum like that.”
Despite Stacey telling Lily to get back in the car, she replied: “I wanna see this.”
Although Lily was only back for a matter of moments, she already made quite the impression on fans who branded her a ‘mini Stacey’.

Who plays Lily Slater? Who played her in the past?
EastEnders returned to screens earlier this months. During the time off, the soap has made many changes to filming and that includes recasts.
Lilia Turner now plays Lily, taking over the role from Aine Garvey.
However Lilia has appeared in EastEnders once before back in 2019. She played one of the children in Mitch Baker and Mick Carter’s football team.
Previous actress Aine played Lily from 2014 until 2019.
While bosses have not given an official reason for the recast, it isn’t unusual for the BBC soap to change actors.
Between 1993 and 2020 seven actors have played the role of Peter Beale.
EastEnders: Stacey Slater to leave again
Earlier this month it was reported that Stacey actress Lacey Turner would be taking another year out from the soap.
However, it was later confirmed that Lacey is pregnant with her second child.
The actress recently returned after a year off after giving birth to her first child Dusty.

Although she won’t be sticking around for very long, she returned with a bang. Viewers discovered SHE has been stealing Ruby Allen’s money.
Ruby gave her the ultimatum of paying back the cash or going to the police. What will Stacey decide to do?
