Susan Boyle reportedly in talks for Britain’s Got Talent: The Champions

Susan Boyle is in talks to star in Britain’s Got Talent: The Champions.

The 57-year-old shot to fame when she finished second on Britain’s Got Talent in 2009, but may have another shot at the top prize because judges want her on the special show after she recently impressed Simon Cowell on America’s Got Talent: The Champions, on which she made it to the final 12.

An insider told The Sun’s Bizarre TV column: “American viewers were furious when SuBo didn’t win and now Simon wants to give her a second shot by getting her on the British version of the show.

“Susan’s a great competitor, has a fascinating back story and is really popular with the British public. She came second in her original appearance and got near on AGT – so this could be third time lucky.”

The singer could also be joined by Britain’s Got Talent 2012 winner Ashleigh Butler, who triumphed on the programme with her dancing dog act Pudsey who unfortunately died in 2017. She now performs alongside his replacement Sully.

What’s more, dancer George Sampson, who won the show in 2008, is also said to have been approached.

Susan recently admitted she was “disappointed” not to win America’s Got Talent: The Champions.

The I Dream a Dream singer was sad she didn’t finish first in the hit talent contest but was also happy that magician Shin Lim – who won the final – beat her because she already has a successful music career.

Susan said: “I’m so fortunate that I have a great career to go back to.

“Of course, I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t disappointed, but also deep down I didn’t think I would win.”
