The shop already sells mince pies with gin in, but now they’ve gone one step further and given gin fans their favourite tipple tasting of mince pies!
Flavours include toasted marshmallow, which is light pink in colour and “ideal for those who like a sweet drink”.
Asda suggests pairing the gin with prosecco or having it on the rocks.
For something less sweet, the mince pie gin liqueur tastes of cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves.
The supermarket recommends serving this one with Asda’s Extra Special clementine and cinnamon tonic for an extra festive kick.
Asda has also confirmed its popular gingerbread gin liqueur from last year will be making a return as part of the Christmas collection.
Each 50cl bottle start from £10 and has a 20 per cent alcohol by volume (ABV) content.
There is also a spiced cranberry and clementine option, priced at £18 for 70cl, which is best served with tonic or lemonade.
Ed Sowerby, Asda gin product developer, comments: “Gin continues to be a favourite with our customers, especially around the festive season where gifts and something to impress guests with is top of customers’ agendas, so we’re proud of the innovation which has gone into creating our latest festive spirits.
“We wanted to make sure that there was a seasonal sip for every palate, and we’re sure that our customers will love our latest additions to the Extra Special gin collection.”
Sainsbury’s has also launched a Christmas range of alcoholic drinks.
