McVitie’s launches two new ‘indulgent’ chocolate-smothered brownie cake bars

It’s been a bumper week of new product launches for biscuit gods McVitie’s.

First we brought you news of the brand’s new Christmassy Milk Chocolate Digestives.

They will soon be available in Christmas pudding and gingerbread flavours.

Then, earlier today, we brought you the news that McVitie’s is launching a new festive Jaffa Cake flavour.

Well, it appears the product development team have been very busy of late, as now we bring you news of yet another new chocolate-covered goodie.

McVitie’s launches new Moments Brownies

Yes, it appears McVitie’s is going for the triple whammy when it comes to new launches.

And it’s most definitely saved the best till last.

Now, we’re sure you’re well aware of the brand’s Moments range.

Moist, chocolatey brownies, topped with chocolate ganache and smothered in milk chocolate.

However, two newcomers have joined the range and they are chocolate-smothered, individually-wrapped brownies.

They’ve been described as “moist, chocolatey brownies, topped with chocolate ganache and smothered in milk chocolate”.

Chocoholics can pick from Double Choc Fudge or Creamy White Choc.

Where can I get them?

The packets feature five individually-wrapped bars and have an RRP of £1.85.

However, a quick check on the Tesco website shows they’re already in stock and they’re something of a bargain.

Yes, it appears the brownies are part of an introductory offer at Tesco, where you can pick them up for just £1 a packet.

It’s said the brownies will be rolling out into other supermarkets “soon”.

“Chocolate-smothered luxury”

Head of cake marketing at McVitie’s, Claire Hooper, revealed all about the “indulgent” bars.

“Our individually-packaged Cake Bars are already a winning proposition, but we’ve spotted an opportunity to up the indulgence factor by adding a touch of chocolate-smothered luxury to our bestselling product range,” she said.

Claire added: “Indulgence is a key trend and growing numbers of shoppers now tuck into cake during typically indulgent moments – whether that’s an evening treat or during a moment of me-time.”

We concur, Claire.

The Moments Brownies are perfect for a bit of me-time – because we most definitely won’t be sharing ours!
