‘Mythical’ Orange Twirl IS on sale but many chocoholics still can’t track one down

Have you seen or tasted an Orange Twirl yet?

| Updated:

It seems the search for many chocolate fans eager to give the Orange Twirl a whirl is proving as difficult as hunting for an orange unicorn.

But while many customers have been frustrated in their attempts to secure the ‘mythical’ limited edition sweet treat – and believe winning the Lottery is more likely – a popular food Instagrammer has confirmed there are Orange Twirls to be found out there in the wild.

Grub lovers @newfoodsuk renewed the ambitions of those hopefuls looking high and low for the Cadbury special – believed to have been on sale since September 23 – this weekend, despite plenty of consumer disbelief on social media.

Posting a snap of a box of bars of the chocolate, the food blogger noted they are now being stocked by a chain of newsagents.

They captioned the pic: “@whsmithofficial now have Orange twirls!

“This photo was taken at my local WHSmiths and they had loads!!! So go and check your local one now!”

According to reports, customers had expected the bars – believed to be only on sale while stocks last – to be stocked in Co-Op, Morrisons and Spar, among other retailers.

But over a month on following release, people are still having trouble locating any today – even though some lucky punters have managed to get their hands on some.

“Are there no Orange Twirls left in the [bleep]ing country or something?!” raged one person.

“Got a better chance of winning the Euromillions ffs.”

Another person took a more light-hearted approach to their fruitless search, tweeting: “Orange Twirl is definitely a myth, I’ve seen nowhere round here selling it 😂.”

And another polite person simply requested someone else do the chocolate detective work for them.

They tweeted: “Can someone please locate and deliver an Orange Twirl to me please and thank you?”
