Piers Morgan has ripped into tea makers Yorkshire Tea and accused the firm of “ruining everything”.
His outburst came as the brand launched a new tea – a “Breakfasty Toast & Jam brew” that “tastes like jam on toast”.
“Yorkshire Tea have ruined everything,” Piers blasted as a result of trying the new launch.
What did Piers Morgan say about the new tea?
“My favourite tea makers, I only drink Yorkshire Gold tea these days, released a new brew and it’s one of those things where you think, who asked for this?” he continued.
“The brand has made a toast and jam brew, a black tea with the subtle taste of toast crumbs and jam,” he said.

“It comes in a revolting box,” he added, of the pink packaging, which actually looks pretty cute.
Yorkshire Tea’s Tea Innovation Manager Kate Halloran said: “Toast & Jam is a lip-smacking smattering of toasty, jammy loveliness.
We hope you love it as much as we do.
“Perfect for mornings, it is a strong breakfast blend with all of the loveliness of jam on toast without the crumbs! We wanted to create a tea that will send people into their day with a spring in their step and a smile in their soul.
“This new brew has been a long time in the making and I absolutely can’t wait for everyone to try it. We hope you love it as much as we do.”
‘Absolutely revolting’
However, GMB host Piers really isn’t a fan, declaring that “Kate may not be very long for this job”.
He said he sipped the tea by accident and it “tasted like somebody who was heavily perfumed”.

He said: “I thought, oh my god, what’s that disgusting smell. It’s absolutely revolting and I can’t believe Yorkshire Tea have done this to me.
“It’s revolting, it’s like putting perfume into a tea, it’s revolting,” he said.
Tea lovers, however, seem pretty excited to try it.
“I’m so up for it,” said one fan on Instagram.
“Craving them already,” said another.
“Deffo going to purchase. I’m intrigued,” another declared.
Where can I buy it?
Yorkshire Tea’s new Toast & Jam tea will be on sale in Asda from tomorrow (September 24).
It costs £2.29 for 40 bags and, the makers say, it’s best served with a splash of milk.
