It looks set to be a merry crisp-mas for cauliflower cheese fans as surely the best side dish to ever grace a roast dinner has been turned into a crisp by The Co-op.
The store’s hand-cooked Cornish Cheddar Cauliflower Cheese Crisps cost £1.70 for 150g sharer bags and are on sale in the run up to the festive period.
And, while we are practically salivating all over our keyboard while writing this story, some consumers aren’t so keen.
It’s most definitely a “no likey” from Take Me Out host Paddy McGuinness, who tweeted a picture of the crisps and voiced his distaste for them.

Paddy’s followers were quick to respond, with some branding the crisps “wrong on every level”.
Wrong on every level! That is something a parent would make up to trick the kids into eating veggies by saying look they must be good for you they even have crisps 😂😂 might try this with my lot kids 😂

But, while some of Paddy’s followers took his side in the great cauliflower cheese crisps debate, others hot-footed it to their local store to stock up.

The Co-op’s Lucy Frodsham said: “Cauliflower cheese is one of those classic Christmas dinner sides that gets everyone excited for the big day, so we knew combining it with one of Britain’s favourite snacks would make our Irresistible Cauliflower Cheese Crisps a hit with shoppers.”
She added that they are “seasoned with real cauliflower and indulgent Cornish cheddar” and are “perfect for sharing”.
