If you think of Victoria Beckham, what comes to mind? Likely her husband, David Beckham, her adorable brood and, of course, fashion.
Having undergone a style metamorphosis over the last few years, Victoria has cemented herself as a bona fide fashion icon.
Putting the printed Versace dresses of her past behind her, she now tends to opt for tailored separates – usually from her own namesake collection – heels and, naturally, her oversized sunglasses.
And while we wouldn’t necessarily choose to don everything she wears ourselves, we can always appreciate them.
However, her latest ensemble has been raising a few eyebrows – ours included – namely because it features a very throwback item.
Landing in Paris ahead of the Dior Homme catwalk show (to which she took her eldest son Brooklyn as her plus one), the 44-year-old mother of four hit the streets of the French capital as she attended meetings prior to the glittering event.

And what did she wear to pound said streets? A chic dress? A sharp suit? Non – a denim co-ord.
Co-ords we can certainly get on board with. Much like dresses or jumpsuits, they take all of the struggle out of deciding what to wear in the morning, and they look instantly chic.
However, what we can’t get on board with is bootcut jeans that go way past your heel.

You may recall – heck, you probably wore them yourself! – that in the ’90s, too-long jeans were a major trend. Whether you wore them with flats so the excess denim pooled around your feet, or with heels so that they covered your entire foot leaving only your little piggies on display, it wasn’t a good look.
Now, though, it seems Victoria is hellbent on making them a thing once again. Her collections often feature flares but the extra-long bootcuts from her Victoria, Victoria Beckham diffusion edit? That might be a throwback trend too far for us. Especially when they’ll set you back £150. Thanks Vic, but we’ll pass on this one if it’s all the same with you.
