They usually set you back around 30p, but one savvy shopper has spotted Cadbury Freddos being sold for a fraction of the price.
One customer at the Rugby branch of Wilko spotted the chocolatey treat on sale for just 10p – and proceeded to buy 17 of them.
Explaining it was the “reduced to clear” price, the shopper posted a picture of their receipt on HotdealsUK.

They said: “Spotted these in the Rugby store today, but should be national as long as the store still has stock. This is the ‘reduced to clear’ price.”
They added: “Can’t remember the last time I saw Freddos at this price!”
Indeed, the last time they were 10p was back in 2005.
One Twitter user even likened the price cut to “time travel”.
This isn’t a deal, it’s time travel!

Sadly the Dairy Milk-based treats aren’t for sale online.
And, in yet another sad twist of fate, you won’t be able to get your hands on them at this cut price unless you visit the Rugby store.

A Wilko rep said: “This price is exclusive to our Rugby store due to current stock levels and availability.”
I thought a 10p Freddo was a human right that should be subsidised by the government.
Freddo – once called Freddo Frog – was a nostalgic staple of the 1990s – and used to cost 10p when it was first launched.
Cadbury has increased the price every year since 2005, with one web forum stating that the price of a Freddo has risen five times faster than inflation.
It’s like they are doing us a favour.
The Freddo has no right being sold for more than 10p.The price of Freddos makes me angry.

I thought a 10p Freddo was a human right that should be subsidised by the government, so even the poorest in our society could have access to Freddos
