Harry Styles was reportedly in the running for one of the most iconic roles in Hollywood.
The One Direction superstar is making a name for himself as an actor after years of singing in The X Factor-made boy band.
He has recently been filming war movie Dunkirk, but was SO close to playing none other than Han Solo for the George Lucas space franchise.

Sources say that the 23-year-old singer was high up on the list of possible actors to play the role, originally made famous by a young Harrison Ford, in the spin-off. The part was later given to Alden Ehrenreich, who appeared in films such as Blue Jasmine and Beautiful Creatures.
However, Harry might still have a chance of starring in a Disney remake.
“Harry was one of the early names in contention when the studio looked at Han Solo,” a source said.
“Even though he had virtually no acting experience, they saw he had huge star potential and would give the Solo project enormous publicity.”
Do not despair though, as he may still be considered for a different spin-off that focuses on Star Wars character Obi Wan.
Meanwhile, Harry has released his debut solo single, Sign Of The Times, after splitting up from boy band One Direction in 2015. Unfortunately, the star had some bad news though, as Spotify has had some streaming issues and people couldn’t listen to it!
It seems that it might be best for the guy to stick to acting.

Dunkirk film director Christopher Nolan, who also worked on The Dark Knight and Inception, has nothing but praise for Harry’s acting skills.
Speaking to the LA Times, he revealed that Harry beat out “thousands” to the role.
“When we put the cast together, we had some established names. But for the guys on the beach, we really wanted young unknowns. He’s not that unknown, but he’d never done anything as an actor before. So he auditioned. I auditioned literally thousands of young men with different combinations of young men. And he had it.”
The film also stars Tom Hardy, Kenneth Branagh and Cillian Murphy.
