James Corden has defended his “grumpy” face after being caught on camera at the royal wedding looking slightly moody.
The actor and television host, 39, was among the celebrity guests at The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s wedding at Windsor Castle on Saturday.
The whole ceremony was televised around the world, meaning cameras focused on the 600 guests throughout the hour-long service.
Unfortunately for James, he was caught by one such camera looking a tad grumpy and serious mid-way through.

Of course, James found it quite funny and, naturally, spoke about it when he returned to his chat show, The Late Late Show, in LA.
He told the audience: “It was one of the most beautiful ceremonies I’ve ever been to. Gorgeous, the whole affair. Happy, joyous, uplifting. And here’s a picture of me during the ceremony…”
As the image of James looking moody flashed up on screen, he quipped: “I couldn’t have been having a better time!
“In my defence, what face do you make when you’re watching a cellist in a church? People have been like, ‘Oh, why are you so grumpy?’ What do you want me to be doing?!”
James then pretended to headbang and rock out, suggesting that wouldn’t be quite so appropriate at a royal wedding!
Maybe not!
He said it was an “absolute honour” being invited to Harry and Meghan’s wedding, saying he’s known Harry, 33, for around seven years now.
“It was Britain at its finest,” he continued. “A picture perfect day, Windsor Castle, 600 guests, 30,000 flowers – or, as Elton John calls it, a Thursday.”
The flowers, however, apparently caused a bit of an issue for James, who said the blooms triggered his hayfever at a very inopportune moment!
“The worst part of the ceremony for me was flowers everywhere. The most beautiful flowers you’ve ever seen. I get quite bad allergies when I’m in close proximity to flowers, so for a lot of the ceremony I needed to sneeze,” he said.
“Right at the point when the Archbishop was saying, ‘If anyone knows of any reason…’ I was like, ‘Please don’t sneeze! Please don’t sneeze!’
“I had to do one of those internal sneezes – and I think I got away with it!”
James added: “It was the most wonderful and inclusive service, it really was.
“I was proud to be British on that day. It was a modern, forward-thinking couple having the exact ceremony they wanted and they brought Britain and the world together for a happy occasion and I was so pleased to be there.”
As well as attending the ceremony as a friend, James was reportedly also on hand to host the exclusive evening do at Frogmore House.
