Okay, so we’re really excited about this – and we think you will be too if you’re a woman of a certain age who watched Neighbours in the early 00s.

If you did you’ll definitely remember Stuart Parker (played by Blair McDonough) who lived in The House of Trouser, aka no. 30, with Toadie – back in his bachelor days – and Connor O’Neill.

Stu was a mechanic, then became a policeman, went blind for a bit and was a generally just easy on the eye before he departed Erinsborough in 2006.

According to TV WEEK, Neighbours’ executive producer, Jason Herbison, has said that Blair will return to the soap later this year for a special guest stint and will reconnect with an old friend.

It’s gotta be the Toadster.

Details of Stu’s return are being kept under wraps but it’s rumoured he’ll be returning with another former star of the soap for a special celebration.

Blair, who was runner-up in the first series of Australian Big Brother, said of his role back in 2012: “Neighbours was my university! I didn’t go to uni or get the chance to do all those crazy things as a kid, so that’s what Neighbours was for me.”

During his time on Neighbours, Blair dated his co-star Deltra Goodrum.

He then moved to the UK and took up a starring role in Heartbeat (remember that?) from 2008-2009.

Along with his wife, Kristi, Blair welcomed his first child, a baby girl called Leni, in 2015.

Last year Kristi gave birth to a boy called Van.

Since leaving Ramsay Street, 36-year-old Blair has also starred in rival soap, Home and Away, despite admitting he’s quit acting about six times over the years.

He played Alan Ellis, dad of dearly-departed Beth.
