A Place in the Sun’s Craig Rowe loses two stone in three months after looking ‘pudgy’ on show

He's got the six pack to prove it!

A Place in the Sun presenter Craig Rowe has revealed his impressive weight loss that followed a ‘warning’ in a health diagnosis.

Craig, 52, reckons he’s in the shape of his life after dropping two stone in three months – and has the rippling abs to prove it!

The telly fave is a regular host on the Channel 4 series – and viewers are likely to notice a difference when he’s on screen.

But it wasn’t just seeing himself looking ‘out of shape’ that has motivated Craig to shed the pounds. He has also achieved his body transformation after being told six years ago he faced pre-diabetes if he didn’t take action regarding his blood sugar.

Craig Rowe on his two stone weight loss

Speaking to The Sun, Craig shared how he now fits in clothes he was wearing when he was 30, following his lifestyle overhaul since Christmas.

He’d previously managed to bring his blood sugar back down following his initial diagnosis, reversing his condition. But Craig told the tabloid he began to struggle again after making the positive changes.

‘I got a bit pudgy’

He said: “I was right on the cusp of being almost pre-diabetic again and I knew I sort of got a bit pudgy just before Christmas. I’d seen some of my episodes of A Place in the Sun go out and I was like: ‘That’s not a good angle.'”

He added how he was aware his clothes were fitting differently – and concluded he’d put on a bit of weight.

How Craig Rowe lost weight

However, after eliminating cakes and chocolate from his diet, and cutting back on alcohol, Craig exercises up to six times a week to maintain his progress.

He now feels more confident than ever – and hails the mental health benefits of his physical efforts, too.

It’s a nice place to be in my fifties.

Craig went on: “It’s a nice place to be in my fifties. Obviously life isn’t perfect and there’s always issues but this transformation has built over into my mental health.”
