Giving people a voice through song...

Melissa was a big hit with Corrie viewers last year as Kate Connor’s feisty ex Imogen Pascoe.

The pair also launched a hugely successful theatre group called Triple C – The Creative Confidence Collective –  back in 2016, aiming to make drama accessible to all and help people with disabilities fulfil their potential.

In her Twitter post the actress has revealed that the choir’s first meeting will take place on Wednesday – and with so many people retweeting and commenting on her post, it is bound to be a hit.

Cherylee told ITV News recently: “I love marrying creativity with making a change for people in their personal lives.

Cherylee and Melissa have joined forces with Dan McDwyer – the man behind Parrs Wood High School choir, who performed with Ariana Grande at the One Love Manchester concert last year.

Dan has revealed that singing can make a huge difference in someone’s life…

“I’ve worked with lots of people individually who can be quite anxious and find it quite hard to speak but in singing lessons come out of their shell and really enjoy singing.”
