Talking to The Sun, the 28-year-old said: “Before the Grammys I had this dress right, I wore this green dress, everyone said I looked like Fiona from Shrek.
“I don’t care. It was Givenchy Couture, they can say what they want.
“I worked out. Obviously I’m a large lady and I like eating food very much, but I was working out twice a day to fit into that Givenchy dress because it was quite tight.”
Good for her!
Despite how successful she is, there are always people that want to bring others down.
Twitter users felt the need to share their mean comments on the social media platform after her Grammys red carpet appearance in LA.
One said: “It’s not fair that Wayne Rooney takes the brunt of all the Shrek jokes. So im just throwing this out there #Adele #shrek #grammys [sic]”
Another user wrote: “Why Adele look like Fiona from Shrek 1, 2, 3 and 4?”
A critic also wrote: “Somebody have to say : Adele as Fiona Shrek #GRAMMYs”
Men Jee added: “I’m not tryna be funny, I’m really not but is it just me or does Adele’s dress make her look like Fiona from Shrek?”
Adele is actually one of the best-selling artists of all time, perhaps these cruel trolls are just jealous?
The star had one of the biggest nights of her career at the awards show, beating Beyoncé to win FIVE awards including the Album of the Year for 25.
