Eamonn Holmes was off sick this morning, so Alison Hammond stepped in to replace him on This Morning, alongside Ruth Langsford.
But the 42-year-old’s cameo appearance didn’t go entirely according to plan.
During one segment, she and Ruth were discussing Prince Harry and Meghan Markle with the ITV show’s royal correspondent Camilla Tominey.
And after Alison embraced Camilla, she left a huge MAKE-UP STAIN on the reporter’s gleaming white shirt!
The women were discussing the royal couple’s visit to Wales yesterday, and the fact that it was unusual they’d hugged some of the children there.
At that point, the stand-in presenter stood up and said: “Can I just say something, Camilla? Can I give you a hug?”
Camilla laughed and rose to accept Alison’s clinch, but no sooner had the two ladies sat down again than Alison realised there was something amiss.
She gasped: “Oh God, I got make-up all over your sleeve!”

The camera then homed in on a massive pink smear on Camilla’s arm – whoops!
Alison quickly assured the royal correspondent that it would come out in the wash, and luckily for her Camilla said it was “fine”.
Hammond’s surprise presenting role came after Eamonn had tweeted his fans to say that he wouldn’t be going into work today.
The 58-year-old wrote: “Things not good today, folks… Got an impossibly sore throat.
“Don’t need this – sooo much to do – but unfortunately talking is my business. Bloomin heck it hurts.”

But the choice of replacement for the ailing presenter divided opinion among viewers.
Some fans were thrilled to see Alison in the hot seat, with one enthusing: “Absolutely love seeing Alison co-presenting on @thismorning. She’s fab!”
Another showed their appreciation by writing: “Yay – super Alison to the rescue!”
But others were less convinced. One scowled: “The disappointment when it is Alison Hammond instead of Eamonn on a Friday.”
And another moaned: “Alison Hammond!! No thanks – I’d rather sit and listen to my car engine tick over than ‘endure’ her!!”
