Amanda Holden has reportedly been left looking a little flustered after making a rather awkward faux pas on Britain’s Got Talent.
Amanda, 47, was said to be sat alongside her fellow judges – Simon Cowell, Alesha Dixon and David Walliams – when a magician walked on stage ready to audition.
In scenes yet to be aired, Amanda then apparently asked the chap for his name and asked how long he had been performing.
According to The Sun, the magician – called Allin Kempthorne – replied: “Quite a while Amanda. Have a look at me.”
Butting in, 58-year-old Simon asked if they had met before, to which Allin replied: “We have, at your daughter’s birthday party. I was the magician.”
WHOOPS!
Left looking red-faced, Amanda told him: “God, I don’t remember that!”
David, 46, meanwhile, apparently quipped: “It’s good she remembers, isn’t it?”
It has been reported that Amanda booked Allin, who goes by the name of Professor Strange, for her daughter Hollie’s sixth birthday party.
Although Hollie only turned six in January, a source has since told the newspaper that Allin “was wearing a different outfit” when he performed at the youngster’s party, causing the confusion…
The 12th series of Britain’s Got Talent kicked off last month and viewers have watched dozens of dancers, singers and magicians wow the judges.
There has also been some emotionally-charged moments too.
Several weeks ago, the BGT judges broke protocol and went backstage to meet a very special act.
Amanda, Simon, Alesha and David introduced themselves to Manchester bomb survivor Hollie Booth, who was auditioning with her dance troupe.
The panel were later left in tears after watching the group perform on stage, with Simon saying: “Hollie, to get through what you went through and to come out here and turn a negative to a positive is quite unbelievable.”
Britain’s Got Talent continues on ITV1 at 8pm tonight (Saturday 19 May).
