Andrea McLean became emotional on Loose Women as she spoke about the loss of her beloved dog, Jackson.
On Friday’s show, the presenter revealed that Jackson passed away a couple of weeks ago and said he was “such a big part of our lives”.
Andrea, 49, said her golden retriever Jackson was “the man in my life” before she met husband Nick Feeney and admitted introducing the pooch to Nick was a “big deal”.

As the panel began talking about the topic of Puppy Love, Kaye Adams addressed Andrea’s loss.
She told Andrea: “That’s a hard one for you isn’t it?”
Andrea struggled to contain her emotions and began to well up.
Managing to compose herself, she said: “I can’t believe it, my dog Jackson died.
“Gosh I didn’t think I’d get upset. It happened a couple of weeks ago. He was a huge part of our life.”
As her co-stars Kaye, Stacey Solomon and Nadia Sawalha consoled her, Andrea continued: “Introducing Nick to Jackson was a big deal because Jackson was the man in my life.
“I was with Jackson longer than I was with my ex-husband. But when [Nick] first came to the door, I said ‘I really hope they connect and get on’ and literally the door opens, Nick came in and time stopped.
“Jackson looked at him and love hearts came out of his eyes and Barry White music played. He was so in love with him and they bonded immediately.”
Andrea tearfully added: “He died in Nick’s arms. Oh I’m off again!”
Following the show, Andrea took to Instagram to pay tribute to Jackson in an emotional post.
Alongside a video of Nick playing with Jackson and a snap of herself and her furry friend, Andrea wrote: “I haven’t spoken about this until today because it was too raw and too awful to say out loud.
“But today on @loosewomen I ended up getting upset when we talked about the issue of losing a family pet, so I suppose it’s ‘out there’ now…

“A couple of weeks ago my beautiful dog Jackson sadly died. He was my boy. He was part of my family. He had been with me through good times and bad and was my loyal, loving friend.”
She added: “Anyone who has ever had a dog will understand how truly awful losing him has been; many of you will have seen him here on instagram, sitting in his favourite spot on the porch.
“Our home is not the same without him. The porch is not the same without him, it looks empty. He is so sadly missed, and our hearts are broken. Rest in peace my lovely Jackson.”
