While plenty of celebrities would prefer us to think they look glam every moment of the day, Loose Women star Andrea McLean had no qualms about revealing the truth behind the red carpet.
The 47-year-old merrily gave fans a contrasting glimpse of before and after her appearance at the Animal Hero Awards in London on Thursday night.

Beaming for the cameras, Andrea looked glamorous in a knee length navy blue dress and chic dark brown updo.
She posted a cute photo to Instagram Stories showing her cuddling up to fiance Nick Feeney with the caption: “All dolled up.”
But fast forward a few hours and it was a rather different picture as Andrea got home from the awards bash and let her hair down – quite literally!
The TV star shared a series of images showing her glossy brown hair now lying on a heap in the floor, surrounded by hair pins, before panning the camera up to reveal her make-up free face pulling a grimace in the bathroom mirror.
She captioned them: “… Then I get home!”
Andrea spent the night at the Animal Hero Awards with Loose Women co-star Stacey Solomon, Good Morning Britain’s showbiz presenter Richard Arnold and TOWIE star Pete Wicks.
Other celebs in attendance included Britain’s Got Talent winner Ashleigh Butler, who made her first red carpet appearance with new dog Sully following Pudsey’s death, and McFly musician Tom Fletcher.
It’s been an incredible summer for Andrea, after getting engaged to boyfriend of three years, Nick, in August when he popped the question during a romantic break to Paris.
The mum-of-two has been married twice before to Nick Green, from 2000 to 2005, and Steve Toms, from 2009 until 2012.
She met Nick in 2014 and previously said he “changed” her life and made her believe in love again.
Speaking to Hello magazine she said: “I never thought I’d feel like this again, that I’d fall in love and get the chance to start a new life.
“It’s been a revelation to him, too. And because we make each other so happy, it’s changed our lives.”
Andrea also revealed how Nick had made her want to tie the knot again, after previously vowing she would never walk down the aisle for a third time.
She told the Sunday Mirror before the engagement: “For a long time I said never again to marriage but now I wouldn’t say that.
“Although definitely not right now. Things are so nice I don’t want to change a thing.”
There had been speculation that Andrea and Nick were planning a quickie wedding after she celebrated her hen do with pals last month.
But Andrea later said on Loose Women that hopes of eloping abroad were dashed when she and Nick realised they needed to do a lot of paperwork and prep work before tying the knot in another country.

She said: “We wanted to and we couldn’t. You have to be really boring and organise it before you get there.”
“We want to get married with just the children, and we’d already planned a family holiday anyway, so we thought we’d give it a go.
“Apparently, I’m bang on trend because it’s really in fashion to head off and runaway and… just think of yourself, really,”
Well, on your wedding day, why not?!
