Andrea McLean pours more shade on ex-husbands with Loose Women revelation

She had big plans for after her third wedding

Andrea McLean shocked the Loose Women panel on Thursday by revealing plans to do something MAJOR following her upcoming wedding.

Or should we say Andrea Feeney?

Yes, the 48-year-old has revealed she’ll be taking her fiance Nick Feeney’s surname when they tie the knot – marking the first time she’s ever taken a husband’s name.

Andrea has been married twice before – to Nick Green and Steve Toms – but always kept her maiden name.

However, it seems like it’s third time lucky for Andrea, as she gleefully told the panel it feels different marrying Nick and for the first time ever she’s going to drop McLean.

“I’m going to be getting married and whether to change my surname has been going through my mind,” she said.

“I think, actually, for the first time I will change my surname.”

“This feel so different and so right and I actually really want to have the same name as him on a passport, which I’ve never had before,” she added.

“Now I know this is what it’s supposed to feel like. It feels so nice and makes it special.”

However, you won’t have to get used to her now introducing herself as Andrea Feeney on Loose Women, as the Scottish star said she’ll keep McLean for work.

“For work I’ll still be Andrea McLean but I’ll be Feeney for my personal life,” she said.

It was all part of a panel discussion about the declining number of women who are taking their husband’s surnames after marriage.

Naturally, there was plenty of debate among TV viewers as well, with many saying they were “proud” to have taken their husband’s name.

Others said they’d double-barrelled to get the best of both worlds or found other ways to incorporate their maiden name.

Meanwhile, some revealed their husband’s had taken their surnames to carry the maiden name on, rather than the other way around.

The Loose Women panel all had differing views as well: Jane Moore kept her maiden name but gave her kids double-barrelled surnames.

Katie Price kept her maiden name and gave her kids their father’s surnames – apart from eldest son Harvey, who is a Price.

Nadia Sawalha, meanwhile, also kept her name and chose to give her children their dad’s name – though admitted she regretted not double-barrelling now to ensure her maiden name lives on.

Well, life would be dull if we were all the same, right?
