We’re used to seeing her immaculately turned out on Loose Women, and (almost!) always presenting in a calm, unflappable manner.
So Andrea McLean’s recent Instagram video was an absolute joy to behold, as the star totally lost her composure as she endured a wardrobe fail of epic proportions.
Think you can never go wrong with a little black dress girls? Think again…
Sharing two videos on her feed, Andrea captioned the first one: “I’ve been stuck CHOOSING a dress, but I’ve never been stuck IN A DRESS before!!! The things we do for fashion eh?”

The accompanying video then showed her and a wardrobe assistant valiantly trying to work out which bit of the dress was supposed to be where, with the dresser teasing: “Who’s in here?” as the garment’s sheer neck covered Andrea’s entire head and face.
“Woo-hoo!” called Andrea from beneath the folds of fabric, as her nose eventually emerged from the neck.
“Trying on dresses for the NTAs,” she revealed. “It’s going really well!”
The second video saw the TV presenter in a state of hysteria with her arms correctly in the frock’s gauzy sleeves – albeit stuck above her head – but a large amount of fabric still covering her hair and obscuring her face.
As Andrea squealed with laughter and admitted she had “Given up”, her colleague tried to make sense of the gown’s fastenings, with a perplexed cry of “There’s no…there’s literally no way in.”
Andrea’s amused followers were quick to sympathise and share their own tales of trapped-in-a-dress woe.
“I remember mum in a similar shape in Monsoon’s changing room & we couldn’t do anything coz we were too busy laughing!” recalled one.
“My friend got stuck in a top once in River Island we laughed that much in the cubicle security were called” revealed another.
“OMG, I did the same thing in M&S once. I thought I was going to have to rip the dress to get it off!!!” admitted a third.

Andrea obviously eventually made it in to the dress in the correct fashion though, as she wrote:
“The good news is I got in. The bad news is I’m going to be wearing the dress ’til Tuesday and then it will have to be surgically removed…”
We can’t wait to see if she DOES indeed wear it to the National Television Awards next week… we’re kind of thinking on balance though, she probably won’t…
