Anne Hegerty has spoken out after she has been falsely associated with a weightloss product in online adverts.
Pop ups have been appearing on social media picturing The Chase star alongside a diet promotion – without her consent or involvement.
The I’m A Celeb campmate’s agents – Celeb Agents – tweeted today to make it clear Anne does not endorse the product concerned.
They tweeted: “Please ignore any Instagram, Twitter or Facebook ads and messages that involve @anne_hegerty promoting various Diet products. They are all FAKE! #fakenews.”
They also posted: “Please not @anne_hegerty has NEVER endorsed any diet product.”
Anne, 60, reposted this with her own comment adding: “Yes, please note this!”
Eagle-eyed readers will notice that the brain box was both hitting out at the false adverts, and correcting her agent’s misspelling with the tweet!

Fans of the Britain’s Brightest Family presenter said they were glad the tweet had clarified she would not endorse a weightloss product – but they hadn’t believed it of her anyway.
“Thought as much. Anne’s FAR too sensible,” wrote one.
“She doesn’t need to, she’s clever as [bleep]!” said another.
A concerned third told her: “Sadly, I fear this won’t stop disreputable retailers still trying to fabricate endorsements, Anne.”
Anne has previously been outspoken about her size, honestly admitting she’s overweight simply because she eats too much.
She said on The Jeremy Vine in January: “I do not have big bones. I do not have a glandular issue. I’m fat because I eat enormously. That’s why. And I love cake, it’s brilliant.”
Anne did lose weight during her time on I’m A Celebrity where she could often only eat rice and beans (or bugs!)
