EastEnders viewers reluctantly said goodbye to Jacqueline Jossa on Friday night, as her character Lauren Branning left Walford.

And there’s more bad news, as another firm fan favourite has confirmed it’s “Goodnight, Vienna” from them, too.
Jo Joyner, who plays Tanya Branning, confirmed the news on Twitter, after her appearance for daughter Abi’s funeral episode.
“That’s over and out for me….. for now x,” she wrote.

Yes, there was a ray of hope in her message with the “for now” – the door is apparently not closed on Tanya forever.
We’re still pretty gutted to see her go again, though.
Jo hasn’t appeared as a regular in the soap since 2013, but made a very popular comeback at Christmas for the storyline which saw Abi and Lauren fall from the roof of the Queen Vic.
The actress also took the opportunity yesterday to praise her on-screen daughter Jacqueline, writing: “Thanks for all the lovely tweets! I didn’t realise it was on, so not even seen it myself yet.
“But what I do know is that @jacquelineMjos Is such a wonderful actress/mother/beauty that I’m really happy that I got to be there for her goodbye #onward&upward”

The young soap star’s family also posted sweet messages after Lauren bowed out of Walford after dumping Josh.
Mother Selina wrote on her Twitter account: “Goodbye Lauren Branning!!
“Never been more proud of our daughter jacqueline mary jossa,we love you so much onwards and upwards love mum dad and family.”
Jossa replied: “Thank you, it’s all because of you!”
