Only a few weeks ago, we were speculating whether or not Ant McPartlin would be co-presenting this series of I’m A Celebrity with Declan Donnelly.
Ant, 42, has had some well-documented troubles this year, battling alcohol and drug addiction, and reportedly spending time apart from his wife, Lisa Armstrong.
But having summoned up the strength to host the ITV jungle show with his best buddy, the troubled star appears to have found a new lease of life.
And on last night’s programme, the Geordie pair gave fans another brilliant piece of news when they hinted that they’ll also be doing another series of Saturday Night Takeaway.
They were discussing the various different T-shirts that the I’m A Celeb contestants would be wearing to complete their tasks this year, when Ant yelled: “Who’s paying for all of this?”
Dec then quipped: “You!”, prompting Ant to turn to his mate and shout: “What?!”
And that’s when Dec dropped the hint. He laughed: “Yeah, has nobody told you? You’re giving up your fee for the next series of Saturday Night Takeaway.”
Ant scoffed: “So I’m doing the whole next series of Saturday Night Takeaway for free?”

Chuckled Dec, 42: “No, don’t be daft – you’re getting one of these T-shirts with Kez’s [contestant Kezia Dugdale’s] face on.”
As the T-shirt was thrown at him from off-camera, Ant raised it aloft, punched the air and screamed: “Yes!”
Aside from a brief hiatus in 2010 to allow the Geordie presenters to launch game shows Ant & Dec’s Push The Button and Red Or Black?, Saturday Night Takeaway has been a mainstay on ITV since it first aired in 2002.
And it was reported in November 2016 that the pair – who also host Britain’s Got Talent – had signed a new three-year deal with ITV estimated to be worth £30million.

However, Ant’s recent problems cast a major doubt over the likeable presenters’ future and whether a new series of Saturday Night Takeaway, which typically airs in February, was going to happen.
Back in June, he released a statement as he checked into rehab for his addictions. It said: “I feel like I have let a lot of people down, and for that I am truly sorry.
“I want to thank my wife, family and closest friends for helping me through this really difficult time.
“I’ve spoken out because I think it’s important that people ask for help if they’re going through a rough time and get the proper treatment to help their recovery.”
It’s great to have you back, Ant – long may it continue!
