After Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly donated £5,000 to their Britain’s Got Talent pal’s rehab treatment, Ian Royce has given an update on his addition battle.
Warm-up man Ian, 50, worked on both BGT and The X Factor and is said to be good friends with the presenting pair.
But when he suffered a brain aneurysm when drunk, he asked for £20,000 to go to famous rehab centre The Priory to help sort out his problems.
Now he has offered an update on how his treatment is going.

Ian said: “I just wanted to let you all know that my first 28 days of treatment have come to an end and I will now being going abroad for the next three months to continue my treatment and really work on me and the issues that have been buried deep for 40 years.”
As well as my alcohol addiction I have also surrendered to my sex and love addictions.
He went onto explain that, as well as being treated for alcohol addition, he is also seeing treatment for “sex and love addictions”.
Ian added: “As well as my alcohol addiction I have also surrendered to my sex and love addictions stemming from my past which have affectedly my relationships greatly.”
He continued: “I am committed to working on all of the above to be a better person to me and to others. I have f*cked up big time in many areas of my life and I want to apologise to everyone caught up in my ‘madness’.”

He also thanked those who had offered him support “financially and emotionally”, although he added: “No name dropping!”
Ian also revealed that he feels like this is his “last chance at life having been near death more than once”.
BGT and X Factor boss Simon Cowell also contributed to the rehab fund.
