Ant McPartlin is celebrating six months of sobriety, he has confirmed to fans on social media.
His old pal shared the news alongside a picture of the presenter looking gloriously healthy and happy.
Simon Hargreaves wrote: “Long overdue catch up with my buddy of 20+ years for lunch this week.
“6 months sober, annoyingly healthy looking, and happier than I’ve seen him in years.
“Immensely proud of this lad for his strength and determination to face up to his issues and get help.

Ant thanked his buddy for his sweet message, writing: “Thanks pal. Really appreciate it. Lovely seeing you too.

Ant, 41, returned to rehab for earlier this year for further treatment, following an arrest for drink-driving in March.
This summer it was confirmed that the TV fave would not be returning to his hosting duties this year.
His on-screen partner Declan Donnelly will be presenting this year’s I’m A Celebrity with their close friend Holly Willoughby.
Ant first revealed he was tackling a painkiller addiction and issues with alcohol in June 2017. In January this year, he confirmed the end of his marriage to wife of 11 years, Lisa Armstrong.
He is now in a relationship with former personal assistant, Anne-Marie Corbett.
