Fans of medical drama Casualty know that they can always expect to be taken on a wild ride in every episode.
But this time round, the producers of the show have come up trumps.
The have filmed an action-packed episode in just one shot.
That means the camera is moving throughout without cutting to another camera.
Speaking to the Mirror about the historic ep, Cathy Shipton who plays Nurse Duffy, said: “It is so exciting and nerve-wracking to be working on this episode and unlike anything any of us cast or crew have ever attempted.

“It is a brilliant fly-on-the-wall episode in real time, placing nurses central in the storyline. It will become a classic Casualty.”
Series producer Erika Hossington, who was just as excited, added: “This special episode will give the audience a unique insight into an hour in A&E.
“It will be an intense, emotional hour in which staff and patients are faced with life-changing events.”
The episode, which was filmed back in January, will feature an explosion and all the kind of high octane drama viewers expect from Casualty.
They will also ride in an ambulance in real-time as they rush the injured to the hospital.
Because of the one-shot aspect of the show, the episode had to be strictly choreographed with specialist cameras and crew required to pull off the action.
But this isn’t the first time, the drama has treated their audience to a one-off spectacular.
Last summer fans demanded it receive an award for its 30th anniversary special which saw viewers find out what happened next after the previous series’ cliffhanger.
Not only that, to make the anniversary, some old faces returned such as Duffy and paramedic Josh to wish Charlie congrats on his own thirty year career.
Other old faces sent in video messages that were interwoven among the dramatic scenes.
At the time viewers were giddy with the show and heaped praise on it.
One fan wrote: “Okay but seriously who else saw #Casualty30? That was by far the most tense and well made piece of television I have seen in a long time”
Another longtime viewer added: “Fantastic acting during #Casualty30 A series does not last 30 years without quality drama/acting. Must be Bafta worthy”
A third said: “@meamandamealing is a superb actress. I loved #Casualty30 tonight. Brought tears to my eyes. I’m always going to be a fan of Casualty”
