Ben Shephard was left cringing after he accidentally tripped up a five-year-old boy at the finish line of a mini marathon.
But, of course, it wasn’t a deliberate attempt to sabotage the little boy as the 43-year-old called himself an “idiot” for the accident.
Ben took to Instagram on Saturday to tell his fans about the incident, admitting it wasn’t his “finest hour”.

Ben was holding the winner’s tape at the finish line for a children’s race on Saturday.
However the dad-of-two let go of the ribbon early as the little boy reached the end.
The material tangled around the child’s legs and caused him to fall over moments after winning the race.
Sharing details of the disastrous moment, the Good Morning Britain TV presenter admitted: “WARNING – this is not my finest hour! So You’re 5 years old, run the mini mile in 8mins win the race only to be tripped up on the finish line by an idiot with a giant winners tape.
“Not sure I’ll be invited back next year after this. Fortunately [he] wasn’t hurt. What a little legend! Good luck to all the runners – fortunately I can’t hurt anyone else.”

Ben later shared a picture of himself with the little boy and his mum to prove he wasn’t hurt and that there were no hard feelings.
The star is a dad himself to two boys – Jack, 12, and Sam, 10.
Last month, he took to Instagram to share a snap of his sons enjoying a spot of gardening with him.
Ben revealed it’s their “first potato harvest” in his wife Annie’s garden.
The first pic shows Sam, 11, getting stuck in with the gardening while brother Jack, 13, gives a helping hand.
Ben captioned the post: “Huge excitement in Mrs S garden – the first potato harvest!!
“Bumper crop and even the rubbish ones will end up as ammo in the spud-gun what’s not to love, if we don’t eat it we shoot it!!”
