The breakfast TV market is certainly a crowded one with BBC Breakfast competing with Good Morning Britain and Sky News’ Sunrise for viewers.
But we all have our personal favourite we like to flick on in the mornings while getting dressed and making our cuppa, right?
The people over at RadioTimes recently conducted a poll of 33,000 people to find out the UK’s best-loved breakfast TV presenter of all time.
And the results are in!
Drum roll please….
The nation’s favourite EVER breakfast TV presenter is… Eamonn Holmes!

The Northern Irish-born presenter topped the poll with 35 per cent of votes, edging out competition from the likes of GMB’s Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid, and Big Breakfast icon Johnny Vaughan.
Naturally, Eamonn was rather thrilled with his success.
He told the magazine: “I’m the longest serving breakfast TV presenter of all time so I’d like to think that, in some way, you’re not only the longest or just hanging in there but it also equates to being quite good at it.
“If people feel fondly for you, for what you’ve done, or what you’re known as, my goodness me, it begins to make all those early starts, all that lack of sleep, almost worthwhile.”
Eamonn co-hosted GMTV from 1993 until 2005 and anchored Sky News’ Sunrise from 2005 until 2016.
He’s also stood-in as host on Good Morning Britain.
Big Breakfast’s Johnny Vaughan finished second with 22 per cent, while Piers Morgan, a relative newcomer to breakfast TV, was in third place with 6.3 per cent.
The top ten most beloved UK breakfast TV presenters of all time were:
1/ Eamonn Holmes
2/ Johnny Vaughan
3/ Piers Morgan
4/ Dan Walker
5/ Bill Turnbull
6/ Susanna Reid
7/ Louise Minchin
8/ Steph McGovern
9/ Chris Evans
10/ Lorraine Kelly
Other names who finished in the top 20 included Ben Shephard, Naga Munchetty, Kate Garraway and the late Jill Dando.
Meanwhile, the always cheeky Piers couldn’t resist a dig at TV rival Dan Walker, gleefully pointing out on Twitter he’d finished above Dan in the poll.
Oh, he also pointed out he was the highest placed CURRENT breakfast TV host.
Piers tweeted: “Thanks to @RadioTimes readers for voting me Top (current) Breakfast TV presenter. Sympathies to Dan Walker at this difficult time.”
