Britain’s Got Talent fans have slammed the ITV show for allowing Jonathan Goodwin to audition, when he was already well known.
The escapologist, 39, is already used to being on stage criticised some viewers, and should not have been allowed to perform.

In fact, the Welsh daredevil even has his own Wikipedia page, which explains how he has already appeared on C4’s Dirty Tricks and Balls Of Steel, as well as The Seven Stupidest Things To Escape From, and Deathwish Live.
He’s also starred in Discovery Channel’s One Way Out and How Not To Become Shark Bait in which he was attacked by a Caribbean reef shark.
Jonathan has even had his own TV series on UKTV’s Watch entitled The Incredible Mr. Goodwin.

In Match 2013, Jonathan appeared on The Jonathan Ross Show and performed the stunt of lying on a single nail, and having a breezeblock broken on his chest with a sledgehammer.
Ouchie.
Famously, Jonathan was nearly hanged during an “embarrassing” live stunt on national TV, but luckily survived albeit it with rope burns to his neck.
So should he have been allowed to audition for the ITV talent show?
Earlier this week, BGT viewers were amazed with Jonathan’s Houdini-style daredevil stunt in which he appeared to set himself on fire.
The professional escapologist impressed judges Simon Cowell, Alesha Dixon, Amanda Holden and David Walliams and went on to receive four nods to head through to the next round.
Single dad Jonathan revealed he has been raising his daughter Milli on his own.
But some fans have queried his involvement, with one posting on Digital Spy Forums: “Jonathan Goodwin’s had his own series on C4 and Sky, also has appeared not long ago on Jonathan Ross ITV show with Nicole Scherzinger and Olivia Newton-John doing one of his stunts.
“He’s appeared on America’s Got Talent twice as a ‘celebrity’ guest artist. I assume that Jason Manford and Johnny Vegas will be on next week as ‘unknown’ comedians.”
Another agreed, saying: “You would never think that this show is about finding new talent, which is quite clearly isn’t.”
A third replied, saying: “Well that’s certainly opened my eyes. I haven’t heard of the bloke but clearly he’s been around for years.
“So if he appeared on AGT then Simon already knows him and seen him before?”
“I agree,” said another. “The man had his own TV show on C4 on Friday nights. Hardly small fry, wouldn’t be so bad if they at least made a reference to it.”

However one viewer argued that the show has never been about finding new talent, and has always “scouted for talent” before the shows.
Another reminded the forum members of impressionist Francine Lewis, who was also reasonably well known before becoming a finalist on the show in 2013.
One remarked that the standard of the show would be “end-of-pier” quality if Simon and co didn’t scout for talent.
