Bradley Walsh has given us so many hilarious videos and pictures since he joined Instagram last month – but now he’s showed a more emotional side, with a loving post dedicated to his son Barney.
In a message added on Thursday afternoon, the TV presenter said he was “so proud” of Barney’s new job, travelling the globe with the Miss World Organisation.
Beside a picture of his 20-year-old son in Indonesia, The Chase star wrote: “Following Barney and the fantastic work done by the Miss World Organisation. So proud.
“Go on Barns, show everyone what these girls can do. With love, hope and awareness they can make a difference. This bridge will literally lead to education. #beautywithapurpose #prouddad.”
He then added the description written by actor and musician, Barney.
“Back in 2014 two rural villages in Indonesia were separated by a vast river. For the villagers living here the only way to cross was via a broken, unsafe bridge.
“As a result children couldn’t attend school, and many would fall in – either suffering serious injury or running the risk of being swept away in the current.
“This all changed when Miss World’s charity – Beauty With a Purpose – inspired Miss Indonesia 2014 to fundraise and seek help.
“Now in its place stands a secure golden bridge, providing the children a pathway to education and the villagers a safe passage across the river.”

The TV star’s son added: “Yesterday we visited this bridge, and I cannot tell you how much this project means to the community you see here. Being a part of this charity is a dream come true and meeting you all yesterday was nothing short of inspirational.

It comes a few weeks after Bradley waved Barney off on his adventure, with another heartfelt post.
Writing beside a picture of his son, Bradders said: “Good morning Instas… Just seeing @barneycpwalsh off on the first leg of his global tour with the Miss World Organisation to present a documentary on their Beauty With a Purpose charity projects!
“Here’s Barns and his pilot Greg just about to set off to Paris to get on a jet bound for India . Follow him folks, you’ll love it. I’m sad he’s gonna be away for a while but happy his bedroom will be tidy!”
He signed off with: “Good luck Barns (lucky fella). P.S Barns – Stay in touch. Dad x.”
Since joining the social media site last month – signed up by fellow presenter Holly Willoughby during the National Television Awards – we’ve seen glimpses of Bradley’s family life.
As well as getting to know Barney, the cheeky TV star has introduced us to his mum, Margaret, recently wishing her a happy birthday.
He wrote alongside a picture of her enjoying a wine: “Happy 80th birthday to my darling Mum Margaret . Love you very much.”
Over on Barney’s page, there are even more family shots, including ones of his mum, Donna, Bradley’s wife since 1997.
