Every year, we find ourselves moaning that The X Factor has got a bit “same old, same old”, and threaten to never watch it again.
But then, of course, the next series comes around and we’re on it like a magnet.
Sure enough, as the 14th edition of the singing show draws ever closer, we’re counting down the hours.
And that’s partly down to a brand-new trailer that’s so well done, we’ve already watched it five times!
To be fair, the show has had some pretty amazing moments since it first hit our screens way back in 2004. And it’s a collection of these that the 60-second trailer focuses on.
With presenter Dermot O’Leary reeling off a series of cute rhyming couplets (is there anything this man can’t do?), we’re treated to a montage of classic X Factor clips.
The first ever appearance of Harry Styles, Ollie Murs grooving across the stage, Rylan breaking down in tears – they’re all here, as the producers seek to remind viewers why they loved the programme in the first place.
Dermot also reveals that Boot Camp, the controversial Six Chair Challenge and the Judges’ Houses stages will be back this series.

But curiously, there’s no mention of the other rumoured changes to the format.
Earlier this year, The Sun reported that the live shows would be cut from ten weeks to six, with A-list acts performing on both Saturday and Sunday evenings.
Other rumoured changes included holding the audition stages at Thorpe Park, and discouraging novelty acts such as last year’s Honey G.
Speaking of Harry Styles, it’s been reported that the One Direction singer could be making a sensational return to the show.
The 23-year-old sprung to fame as part of the group during the 2010 series, which saw One Direction finish third.
And a source told The Sun On Sunday this week: “Harry could very well be back on the X Factor stage this year. Simon [Cowell] has made it clear he is very keen to have him on in a guest slot.

“He sees him as a major ratings boost for the show, and it’s also a chance for him to publicly show his support for Harry as a solo artist.”
Sounds like we’re in for a treat. Your Saturday night starts right here! (Well, in autumn to be precise.)
