The Queen’s Royal Household has been called to a “big meeting” according to reports this morning.
Speculation is now rife that the engagement of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle is set to be announced today.
The Daily Star has revealed a Royal source has told them Kensington Palace, where Harry lives, will also make a big announcement.
“They are set to release a statement from Kensington Palace later on, but if it is not released today it will be on Monday,” the source explained.
“I think the announcement will be about Harry and Meghan’s engagement, but we will have to wait and see.”
The Prince has been dating Suits actress Meghan since last summer and the pair are said to be head over heels in love.

Rumours of an engagement have been rife pretty much since it was announced they were together, but on Thursday bookmakers suspended betting on there being another royal wedding.
A spokesperson for Ladbrokes told the MailOnline: “Royal watchers would love a Christmas engagement announcement, and as far as we’re concerned it’s coming imminently.
“Meghan has met her prince charming and it looks like this fairytale is going to end happy ever after.”
The last time a whole staff meeting like this was called it was to announce that the Duke of Edinburgh would be stepping down from royal public duties.
A statement released at the time said: “His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh has decided that he will no longer carry out public engagements from the autumn of this year. In taking this decision The Duke has the full support of The Queen.”
It stated that while he will attend “previously scheduled engagements between now and August” he will not accept any new invitations after that.
They did add that “he may still choose to attend certain public events from time to time.”

The Queen continues to carry out all her official engagements though.
Some speculated then that a royal engagement announcement was imminent for Harry and Meghan.
Kensington Palace have declined to comment on the Daily Star’s report.
