Brenda Edwards’ Loose Women co-star Nadia Sawalha has spoken out following the sudden death of her son Jamal.
Jamal passed away from a sudden illness on Sunday aged 31 (February 20).
Ahead of the ITV programme today, Nadia discussed how her fellow colleagues may be feeing as they prepare to cover Jamal’s death.

Nadia spoke about the tragedy on her YouTube channel alongside husband Mark Adderley.
The former EastEnders star explained that she “couldn’t believe it” after hearing the news last night.
Nadia shared: “I just cannot fathom how Brenda and her family are coping. It’s beyond imaginable.”
My heart is aching for the show today
The star then went to speak about the upcoming episode of Loose Women.
She continued: “My heart is aching for the show today. It’s going to be a very difficult show for Loose Women to do.
“I’m just so proud of them all. I messaged the producers this morning… they’ve all got to really hold it together. Everybody on the show is really, really feeling this. It’s family isn’t it.”
Nadia also paid a touching tribute to Jamal on her Instagram profile.
Alongside a photo of Jamal and Brenda together, she penned: “Rest in peace @jamaledwards. The pain your mum @brendaedwardsglobal family and friends must be in is unimaginable.
“You made a real difference to peoples lives. That is clear.”

Nadia continued: “So many extraordinary achievements at such a young age, as well as just being plain old fashioned sweet and kind.
“What a terrible loss to so many… RIP.”
Meanwhile, it comes after Brenda shared a statement following her son’s tragic death.

Brenda pays tribute to her late son
The emotional message said: “It is with the deepest heartache that I confirm that my beautiful son Jamal Edwards passed away yesterday morning after a sudden illness.
“Myself, his sister Tanish and the rest of his family and friends are completely devastated. He was the centre of our world.
“As we come to terms with his passing, we ask for privacy to grieve this unimaginable loss. I would like to thank everyone for their messages of love and support.”

Brenda concluded: “Jamal was an inspiration to myself and so many. Our love for him lives on, his legacy lives on. Long live Jamal Edwards MBE, MBA, PHD.”
Jamal was the eldest of Brenda’s two children.
A number of Loose Women stars have reached out to support the mum-of-two following the tragedy.
