Ex Strictly pro Brendan Cole reckons Dancing On Ice judge Jason Gardiner goes too far with his scathing remarks on the ITV series.
The outspoken dancer and choreographer blasted the acerbic Australian for being “vicious” in his comments to contestants.
But Brendan, 42, also criticised Jason’s show nemesis Gemma Collins for her OTT approach to her own feud with the unforgiving judge, suggesting she comes across badly in their onscreen rows.
“I don’t know the ins and outs of the story behind it, it sounds like she has a real problem with something he’s done,” he said.

Brendan continued: “Whether he’s done it or not, I don’t know.
“She didn’t come across particularly well when she did it, in my opinion.
“However, if she feels it, then she should be saying it. But it’s how you say it.”
Brendan also hinted that The GC’s pro skating partner Matt Evers should be stepping up and making himself heard as the negative comments from the judges rain down on the pair.

Comparing how judges perform on DOI and Strictly, Brendan emphasised the coach’s role of preparing their celebrity student to be in the right frame of mind to tackle such difficult performances for a TV audience.
“One of my criticisms on Strictly now is that the pros don’t really say that much, especially when their partners are being critiqued,” he said.
Brendan went on to imitate Jason as he explained he could understand why contestants may be intimidated by the imposing judge before slamming him for being too much of Mr Nasty.
“When you’ve got Jason Gardiner sitting there going, ‘Do you know what darling, that was awful,'” he began, affecting an impersonation that was rubbished by the panellists.
Brendan continued: “He’s vicious! I don’t agree with viciousness. If you’ve got something to say, say it constructively.”
He added: “You don’t speak to someone like that in normal life.”
It was reported earlier today that Jason plans to sue Gemma for defamation after she accused him of selling stories on her.
