The fallout from Robert Anker’s tragic death continues to be felt, with Britain’s Got Talent bosses being the latest to pay tribute to the former Diversity dancer who died in a car crash yesterday.
In a message on the official Britain’s Got Talent Twitter account, the team behind the hit ITV talent show expressed their deep sadness at the talented 27-year-old’s death.
“We are so sorry to hear of the loss of Robert Anker,” it said. “Our thoughts and condolences go out to his friends, family and the whole of Diversity.”
And Rob’s old mates in the dance troupe had their own special words for him: “A former member of our group has tragically passed away,” they said on their official Twitter account. “He inspired so many with his talent and was taken far too soon. R.I.P Rob.”
He’d also worked on a host of other major projects, including Thriller Live, The X Factor, Strictly Come Dancing and Bring It On.

Last night, a host of people paid their respects to Rob and his talent on Twitter.
Choreographer Dean Lee said: “Rob Anker. I have no words to speak after hearing of your passing. This is truly heart breaking. Thanks for the memories. Shine bright.”
Fellow BGT alumni Bars and Melody wrote: “Rest in peace Robert Anker. All the laughs that we shared in tour with you. @Diversity_Tweet. Stay Strong boys.”
Robert’s cousin Rochelle Hanson has now set up a Just Giving page to raise money for his funeral, posting: “The family are devastated.

“He was an amazing and talented dancer.
“We are raising funds for his family to be able to cover all costs for their trip to go and arrange his funeral in Canada.
“We would love to ensure that his family don’t worry or stress about money at this time.”
Robert married Cyndi in September last year in Montego Bay Beach, Jamaica.
He was originally from Essex but left the UK – and his fellow dancers in Diversity – to start a new life with his wife.
He posted about their relationship on Instagram, saying: “We’re not perfect.
“We argue we fight we cuss each other out but no matter what we have each other’s backs.
“Holding down a relationship is more than just dates kisses and (sex). It’s about constantly working hard to further a relationship and be more than just a couple.
“You have to find new ways and renew old ways of falling in love over and over again.
“Through #thick and #thin till death do us part.”
Robert had also been open about his desire to have children with Cyndi.
