Britain’s Got Talent singer shows off terrific 17-stone weight loss

Rosie O'Sullivan has changed a lot since she found fame

Former Britain’s Got Talent contestant Rosie O’Sullivan has showed off her staggering 17-stone weight loss.

Yes, you read that right – 17 stone.

She reached the semi-finals of the talent show in 2013, and has lost more than half of her body weight since then.

The 23-year-old singer underwent a gastric sleeve operation, reducing her stomach to a quarter of its size.

Sharing a before and after split-screen on Instagram, Rosie wrote: “I had 2 dreams when I was a little girl – to become a singer, and to be healthy and be able to shop in River island.

“A 3 year transformation, so looking forward to the last stage this month so I can finally wear a pair of shorts with no tights. 😃🎤✌🏼👊🏼” [sic]

Judging by her incredible after’ shots, the singer will be able to shop wherever she likes nowadays.

Rosie has told The Sun: “When I appeared on BGT I was nearly 30 stone.

“I was hot, sweaty and struggled to walk up stairs, and the costume department had to make dresses for me as it was impossible to get trendy clothes in a size 28.

“I hit a real low and I told my parents I wanted weight loss surgery after seeing an advert online.”

She spent £20,000 on two operations – first the gastric sleeve surgery and then a follow-up procedure to remove two stones of excess skin.

Rosie is still very much sticking to her singing dream, releasing a new album, soon – which hopefully means we’ll get to see more of her.

Well done, lass!
