Brooklyn Beckham and his wife Nicola Peltz expressed their heartbreak after losing their beloved dog, Nala, last June.
The couple both took to their Instagram accounts at the time to pay tributes to Nala, who died “unexpectedly”.
It has now emerged that Nicola is allegedly being sued over the death of their pooch.

Nicola Peltz ‘sued’ over death of dog she shared with Brooklyn Beckham
Sharing a photo of himself alongside his two dogs, Brooklyn, 25, wrote last summer: “Dear Nala, we miss you so much. You were unexpectedly taken from way us too soon and hope others don’t experience a loss after something as simple as a grooming.
I can’t even find the words to describe my heartbreak on so many levels.
“You were the cutest little baby girl and we will always think of you. We know you are looking and barking down on us.
“We love you so much and miss you beyond.”
Today, reports have emerged claiming Nicola is facing legal action over the death of Nala.
The actress accused dog grooming company HoundSpa, the spa’s owner Deborah Gittleman, and the groomer, Jony Ceballos, of causing her pet chihuahua Nala’s death last year.
Nicola Peltz death of dog legal case
A suit filed by Peltz alleges that the dog went to the grooming van “happy and healthy” but returned in “severe physical distress.”
“Nala went into the grooming van, a happy, healthy dog, but returned injured and in severe physical distress – breathing heavily and wheezing, with her chest pulsating,” the legal documentary allegedly claim.
Nicola, who dubs herself a dog activist, is believed to have rushed Nala to a vet, a 15-minute drive away, for emergency treatment.
Ceballos’ legal team have hit back in court, claiming Nicola had failed “to state a cause of action”, according to legal documents reviewed by InTouch.
The defendants legal team have claimed Peltz is “liable for her comparative negligence.”
Nicola is said to have alleged that the grooming company owner should not have permitted Ceballos to work with her dog in the first place, as her brother had previously complained about his services.

“Due to her injuries and severe condition, Nala tragically passed away a mere two hours after being in the van with the groomer,” the suit claimed.
“All Nicola could do was try to provide Nala comfort through her own heartache and pain, as she watched Nala suffer through debilitating injuries and die.”
Nala allegedly died due to fluid in her lungs and “neurological damage.”

Nicola Peltz’s tribute on Instagram
Nicola’s emotional tribute shared last June after Nala’s untimely death read: “This has been the hardest month of my life.
“I can’t even find the words to describe my heartbreak on so many levels. Nala was perfectly healthy when she went to the groomers yesterday but came out hyperventilating and couldn’t catch her breath.”
She continued: “We rushed her to the vet and she passed hours later. I’m sharing this in hopes that it might prevent this from happening to other dogs.
“Her life was taken away from her way too soon. She was my beautiful queen and stayed by my side for 9 years through everything.”

Nicola concluded her heartbreaking post: “Please be careful who you send your dogs to because you don’t know what goes on behind closed doors. 1 day without Nala on earth feels like an eternity. I wish I could have her back in my arms. I pray she’s with my Naunni, I hope I see them soon.”
