Carol Vorderman undeniably boasts brains and beauty, so you might be wondering how she keeps up her immaculate appearance.
The Countdown icon has been praised over the years for her good looks. She has even won the Rear of the Year award twice!
Despite this, Carol Vorderman has also admitted she doesn’t always feel the best about her appearance and likes to keep on top of staying in shape.
Carol has, however, revealed how she keeps up with her youthful looks – and her regime is pretty intense!

The 64-year-old star defies age with her stylish outfits, picture perfect make-up and blonde locks, but her daily routine doesn’t just wind back the clock on the outside – it also works on the inside too, according to research.
Following the publication of her latest book back in September, Carol divulged her beauty secrets to Saga magazine. These included snacking on raw sprouts and doing lots of squats.

She explained: “I wear a good bra and jeans that hold you up. I generally have one meal a day – late afternoon – and I do three 45-minute sessions in the gym a week, which I love.”
Carol practises OMAD, an intermittent fasting method, short for One Meal A Day. Healthline explains that OMAD is “having just one meal and fasting for the rest of the day or having one meal and eating limited amounts of food during fasting periods”.
Their website also claims that this type of diet creates a calorie deficit, which can lead to weight loss.
Other supposed health benefits include the potential to reduce heart disease risk factors and reduce inflammation.
Carol Vorderman’s age-defying daily routine
Despite this, the NHS do not recommend OMAD, describing fasting as a “fad diet”.
Although it isn’t recommended by the NHS, reports claim that in rare Blue Zones, where the most 100-year-olds in the world are said to live, people practice similar dieting patterns.
Dr Deborah Lee previously told the Mirror: “Calorie restriction is believed to slow the ageing process. Eating less lowers the metabolic rate. With less metabolic processes underway, less oxidation is taking place,” explaining how Carol’s regime may be helping her defy the signs of ageing.
Carol has also previously admitted to having a “sprout addiction”. The nutrient rich veg may be another factor contributing to her youthful appearance
