EastEnders producers have reportedly prevented a potential Harry Styles cameo and the soap world is a sadder place for it.
Because since Harry is a huge EastEnders fan, Tilly Keeper who play Louise Mitchell and Jasmine Armfield (Bex Fowler) wanted to get him in for a guest spot at their prom.
This all makes sense! Everyone wants it! How did this not happen?
“I tried to sneak in the idea of having Harry in – but it wasn’t allowed,” Tilly told The Daily Star. “It was so disappointing.”
Harry – who recently got awesome reviews for his part in blockbuster movie Dunkirk so could totally have done some acting too – has previously told how he’d like a cameo in the soap.
A source told the Daily Star: “He absolutely loves EastEnders and would love to be a part of it, even if it was a tiny role with no actual lines.”
He has been on set in Walford once when he and the One Direction boys were filming Children In Need and sang Steal My Girl.
They said at the time: “We are thrilled to be performing on BBC Children in Need again this year. It’s a charity that we hold very close to our hearts and we are really excited about our special performance in the iconic EastEnders Albert Square.”
The news comes as Simon Cowell threw a pop-bomb when he suggested that One Direction could reform… without Harry.
You can’t really just go around saying things like that super-casually though, Simon.
“You know, it’s fun being out there on your own but what I hope is going to happen is that they remember now how much fun it was being in a group,” he told The Sun.
“I always believe that you don’t make rules, you break the rules. So there’s nothing to stop them, if they want to, getting together for a tour, for an album.
“I made it absolutely clear, obviously, ‘We’re in.’”
As well as his acting career, one thing that might hold up a Styles return is his rumoured relationship with French-American model Camille Rowe, 27.
Camille and Harry, 23, been spotted at gigs together in New York and were apparently introduced by mutual mate Alexa Chung.

“Harry and Camille are in the early stages of dating,” a source told The Sun. “He’s very protective of his relationships so isn’t going to want to make a big show of things. They are well suited and seem happy.
“She’s a real star on the rise. He seems besotted.”
