Catherine Tyldesley has escaped abroad to enjoy a blissful health retreat after filming her final Coronation Street scenes.
The actress, who plays the soap’s Eva Price, told fans she was enjoying a stay at an idyllic juice, yoga and fitness retreat in Portugal.
And she followed through on a promise to son Alfie, three, to bring his Peter Rabbit toy with her! Aww.
Catherine shared a string of snaps from Jason Vale’s Juicy Oasis in rural Portugal, where she’s been sunning herself poolside and chilling out after a busy year.
Mum of one Catherine, 34, told fans: “What a place this is!! Much needed break/detox.”

She added: “The most unbelievable surroundings. I don’t want to leave. Met the most inspiring, beautiful women here. Feeling like I can take on the world right now.
“Sometimes us busy mommas need some time-out… perfect place to do it!”
Catherine shared further photos from her retreat, including a few showing off a group of ‘sleep pods’ for guests.
She told fans: “Genius idea! The best kip EVER. I need one of these at home! We do so much of our healing, growth and recovery during our sleep… in our day to day busy lives it’s often neglected. I certainly caught up in these bad boys.”
It was only a brief retreat for Catherine who updated fans on Tuesday night to say she couldn’t wait to return home to husband Tom Pitfield and their son Alfie.
She had a reminder of Alfie on the trip, though, telling fans he’d wanted her to bring his Peter Rabbit toy. Aww!
Catherine shared snaps of Peter Rabbit sunbathing and joining her on a trampoline.
Enjoying a few last rays by the pool in a red swimsuit, she said: “Final few rays … it’s been a pleasure. A much needed rest. Feeling physically and mentally revived and ready to head home to work/motherhood/grown up stuff.
“Portugal you’re a beauty.
“Right! Now! Home to my darling boys please. Next stop… Manchester.”
Catherine announced in December last year she would be leaving Coronation Street.
She recently filmed her final scenes as Eva.
In an interview with OK! Magazine, she said leaving had been a difficult decision as Corrie is a “secure job” that she knows and loves, but ultimately she wanted to spend more time with Alfie and travel the world.

“I knew I made the right decision because I felt excited,” she said. “Leaving was the right decision for my family.”
As for what’s next, she said: “I’ve started going to auditions and I’ve been put up for some really exciting jobs. I’d love to do a gritty drama but I want to try as many genres as possible.”
