Catherine Tyldesley shocked Coronation Street fans when she announced she was leaving the soap after seven years, with some speculating that it was because she wanted another baby.
The 34-year-old is already a mum to son, Alfie, three, with husband Tom Pitford, and has admitted playing a new mum on the cobbles as Eva Price has made her broody.
“The twins are just gorgeous – they’re beautiful and so chilled and easy to work with,” she told Reveal of the babies playing Eva’s newborn, Susie.
“Tom’s like, ‘alright, stop holding babies!” she added. “It has definitely made me broody for another one – I love kids.”
However, the actress said the time isn’t yet right for her to become a mum again.
“Not anytime soon! I feel like I have got my baby fix for a while,” she said.
Catherine announced at the end of last year that she was leaving Corrie and she filmed her final scenes in June.
She said it was time to move on as she wanted to act in “gritty” dramas and pursue other projects.
The actress recently told the Manchester Evening News that she’d like to travel with her family now she’s free of her soap filming commitments.

Talking about leaving Corrie she said: “The timing seemed right. My son Alfie doesn’t start at school for another two years so as a family we wanted the chance to travel.
“I have relatives in Australia, but we didn’t want to go for just a couple of weeks, we’d like to go over there and spend six weeks or more over there and then visit as many countries as possible. Tom and I had always talked about travelling and we are keen for Alfie to visit different cultures.”

She added: “In between there will hopefully be some exciting projects for me as well.”
Could one of those exciting projects be Strictly Come Dancing? Catherine is tipped to be one of the stars of this year’s series – but the BBC will not confirm participants till later this year.
