Actress Catherine Tyldesley has announced the exciting news that soon there will be a new addition to her family.
The former Coronation Street star revealed she has adopted a gorgeous puppy as a surprise for her son Alfie.
Catherine said her four-year-old will soon have a ‘little brother’ in the pup. She added that she and husband Tom Pitfield have already named the dog Geoff!
She shared a picture of the sweet-looking Dachshund and wrote: “Alfie doesn’t know yet… but he’s just got himself a little brother 😍😍 .
“Meet ‘Geoff’ … arriving Saturday… we’re besotted ❤️.”

The star excitedly introduced Geoff to her fans and shared another snap of her cradling the adorable little pooch.

Cath’s pal, and Corrie actress, Sair Khan commented on the post with: “Welcome Geoff!!!!! 🐶 🧡.”
Hollyoaks’ Sarah Jayne Dunn was already smitten and left this series of heart-eyed emojis: “😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍.”
Cath will certainly have her hands full with Alfie and Geoff. She recently admitted she was exhausted from having to look after one child.
She admitted on Instagram: “Seriously… how do people have plural children AND work?!
“Am I missing something here? I’m whacked and I only got the one!”
