It was reported recently that Catherine Tyldesley could be quitting ITV’s Coronation Street to “pursue other projects”.
The 33-year-old is apparently planning to take a few months away from the Cobbles next year to spend more time with her family but an insider claimed the star could be permanently leaving the soap.
But now the actress, who plays Eva Price, has slammed the reports saying she has no plans to leave just yet.

A source told The Sun: “While she loves the show it is very demanding at times. And since becoming a mother she would like more time to spend with her family.
“Her break next year will give her a taste of life without Corrie. But at the moment she intends it to be permanent. She wants to pursue other projects.”
However since these claims a spokesperson for Catherine told OK! Online: “It’s purely speculation, she signed a new contract with Coronation Street very recently.”
Speaking about the rumours on Twitter Catherine said: “Not sure who your ‘insider’ is kids, but I think they might be stuck outside. I’ve just signed my contract #random.”
The mum-of-one is currently involved in a very juicy storyline where viewers have seen her character Eva Price finally find out her fiancé Aidan, played by Shayne Ward, has been cheating on her with her best friend Maria, played by Samia Longchambon.
And now Eva is set to ruin Aidan’s life and take revenge by maxing out his credit card and planning to leave him with nothing.
She recently told Loose Women: “It’s quite extreme. She very much reverts back to Eva the diva, which is great because when I first came into Coronation Street she was very much of that ilk and it’s nice to see her come back to that to see her feisty side.
“She is quite extreme with the way she reacts. I don’t think I would have done those things personally but for me as an actress it’s brilliant to play. It’s really juicy stuff.”
The blonde beauty, who is married to Tom Pitford, also admitted she can relate to Eva because she once got revenge on a cheating boyfriend when she was younger.

She told the Loose ladies: “It happened to me when I was younger. I might have poured a little bit of nail varnish into somebody’s Xbox.
“That was as far as it went and then I walked – Eva is a bit more extreme.
“It felt good. He loved the box more than me.
“I was really young, very naive and I thought we were exclusive and he obviously had other ideas.”
The star recently took some time away from the drama-filled storyline to spend some quality time with her hubby and son Alfie, two.
Sharing a holiday photo of Tom and their adorable tot Catherine wrote: “Love is…”
