Calum Best became the latest housemate evicted from Celebrity Big Brother on Tuesday night.
The 35-year-old lothario narrowly missed out on a place in the final of the reality show when he was named the tenth person to be kicked off the Channel 5 programme.
During his exit interview with host Emma Willis, Calum explained he was disappointed to have been shown the door, saying: “Big Brother this time around – it hasn’t been tougher with the people – but with what they’ve thrown at us.’
“I’m sad to come out now. I wanted to beat my personal best. I’m disappointed.”
Then came a BIG secret about his time in the house – Calum revealed he’d been battling an ear infection, which had affected his behaviour towards his other housemates and, in particular, led to him snapping at Jedward.
“I had an ear infection and I just wanted to sleep it off – obviously that wasn’t aired,” he said. “And Jedward bless them were constantly singing! The whole experience started to drain me.”
Calum also hit headlines when he criticised Jamie O’Hara’s romance with Bianca Gascoigne, appearing to hint that it was all for show. However, he told Emma that he hadn’t meant it as a slam, insisting the couple knew exactly what they were doing.
“For me, I was just stating facts, at the end of the day they aren’t silly people and they know in reality television that romance will get air time,” he said.
“Although I don’t think it’s a showmance. They legit like each other, that comes across, 100 per cent. I was just speaking my mind about what I thought.
“They know when they’re dancing and kissing it would be shown. It wasn’t a diss or an insult. Jamie is my boy, I’ll call him when I leave here and go have a drink with him.”
Calum did just that, as Jamie later shared a snap of the duo partying in a strip club later on Tuesday night.
