Teddi Mellencamp, who appeared on Celebrity Big Brother USA and the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, has revealed her famous father is planning her burial.
The star has been dealing with melanoma on and off since 2022 – the year she appeared on CBB. Recently, Teddi – a 43-year-old mum of three – revealed she’d been given the news her cancer was now at stage 4.
As well as that, she was told that it had metastasised to her lungs and brain. Teddi, who is handling her diagnosis with bravery and humour, has also told how her dad – 1980s rocker John Mellencamp – is now making plans for her burial.
Teddi has vowed to fight her cancer with everything she has.
CBB and Housewives star’s dad asks about her burial
Teddi – who appeared on Real Housewives between 2017 and 2020 – revealed on the latest episode of her podcast that her father called her and asked if she wanted to be buried in the Mellencamp family’s “group mausoleum”.
Discussing her father on her Two T’s In A Pod podcast, Teddi said: “Yesterday my dad calls 11 times in a row. Finally, I answer, I’m like: ‘I’m in the bath. Let me live a little.’ He goes: ‘I just want to make sure you’re going to be in our group family mausoleum.'”
Teddi – who shares kids Slate, 12, Cruz, 10, and Dove, five, with estranged husband Edwin Arroyave – told him that, one day, she would like her kids to be buried alongside her.
She added: “He’s like: ‘Well, there’s going to be the top five and then we’re gonna have little areas around it. And then that’s where everyone’s going to get buried.'”
Teddi then said that she asked her dad if she could make the decision at a later date. However, her father responded: “You’re doing your will right now, so you may as well put it in there.”
The star filed for divorce in November. They split before the news that her cancer had spread.

‘Sad and alone’
Teddi was first diagnosed and treated for skin cancer in 2022. However, she disclosed in a post on social media this week that her melanoma diagnosis has progressed to stage 4.
She took to Instagram to thank fans and friends for their support: “I just want to say thank you guys so much. So many messages about how strong I am. And I gotta tell you, some days I feel really really strong. But some days I feel really really sad and alone.
“I think that’s a normal part of what any of us are going through. And that’s okay. Stage 4 cancer can be scary.”
Updating on the spread of the disease, she also said: “Update from my scans today: I have multiple tumours in my brain that weren’t able to be removed via surgery. I also have two tumours in my lung. These are all metastases of my melanoma.”
Over the past two years, she had 17 different spots of melanoma removed. Teddi now says that she is “fighting for her life”.
