Sid Vicious, who was born John Ritchie, was an English bass guitarist, drummer and singer who was most famously a member of punk group the Sex Pistols. Sid was notoriously arrested early in his career for the murder of girlfriend Nancy Spungen, and on February 2nd, 1979, he died of a heroin overdose, aged only 21.
