Janis Joplin

Janis Joplin was an American singer who rose to fame in the late 1960’s as the lead singer in rock band Big Brother and the Holding Company.

On October 4th, 1970, Janis died of a heroin overdose at only 27 years old. The singer was known for her powerful blue-inspired vocals and still remains one of the top selling musicians in the United States, selling over 15.5 million albums.
