Celebrity Big Brother: Ashley James breaks down in tonight’s show

She's missing Ginuwine

Celebrity Big Brother’s Ashley James broke down in tears following the eviction of her love interest Ginuwine.

The American R&B singer became the fifth star to be evicted from the house on Tuesday night after a public vote.

He had enjoyed a close relationship with Ashley during their time on the Channel 5 show and the Made In Chelsea star was seen sobbing in the moments after his departure in preview clips from Wednesday night’s show.

Speaking in the diary room after the vote Ashley said she “didn’t want to lose him,” and regretted the lack of farewell they had.

“I just think he’s a really great human and I think he’s a really positive element, a really positive person in the house and he was very attentive to everybody so he’d always be making sure everybody was okay.

“He was a big ball of country American energy… he brought me a lot of strength in the house and it was just quite nice to have that person who I cared for and even though I was so adamant that I didn’t want any form of emotional relationship in the house it’s just the first time that I’ve had feelings for someone that I haven’t felt crippling insecure about it.”

She added: “I’m happy for him. I don’t think it’s the end of the world… it’s so silly it’s someone that you care for and someone you love has been taken away from you.

“It was such a shock and I wanted everybody to say goodbye to him that I felt like I didn’t really say goodbye,” Ashley said as she fought back tears.

She grew emotional again when discussing his departure with Malika Haqq, telling the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star she was trying to keep it together.

In a separate clip, Malika asked for CBB to start making arrangements for her departure after she hit out at the food available.

She said: “It’s not food, I don’t eat like that and I don’t want to. I eat a high protein diet and sardines are not a part of it.

“That’s not going to work for me. I think it would be smart if we start making arrangements for me to go.”

Asked if she had discussed it with her fellow housemates, Malika said: “I don’t care to tell them anything. It’s a personal preference.

“I don’t need coaching on it, I don’t need an opinion, I don’t need anything. This is Malika making a decision for Malika.”

CBB airs at 9pm on Channel 5.
