Celebrity Big Brother’s Rodrigo Alves has said he would not recommend others follow his lead and undergo extensive cosmetic surgeries.
But the 35-year-old dubbed ‘The Human Ken Doll’ insists people must be free to ignore criticism and choose whatever path they like when it comes to their own happiness – as long as it does not impact negatively on those around them.
Reflecting on the £500,000 worth of procedures he has undergone – which has left him unable to smell through his nose – Rodrigo admitted he is concerned about the health impact of surgeries.
“It feels good to be different and [make] a statement that it is right for you,” he said, revealing he was just 17 and “very unhappy” when he had his first op.

Rodrigo added: “It wasn’t easy because I had complications. It is risky.
“I don’t recommend anyone to follow my example when it comes to that.”
Seven years ago, Rodrigo suffered complications while undergoing one operation, leaving him paralysed in hospital for a month.
He continued: “But people [should have] a life where you have the freedom to be whoever you want to be, do whatever you want to do just don’t cause harm to other people and yourself.
“And do what is right or you, it doesn’t matter if it involves plastic surgery or not.”

The CBB housemate warned: “Obviously I am an extreme example but I did what was right for me. Obviously it is not right for everybody.
“It has been a long journey and now I have to live with it for the rest of my life.”
The semi-naked Brazilian was wearing a flamboyant samba outfit as he philosophised with his fellow housemates in the garden.
He had earlier been informed in the Diary Room that his suitcase and belongings had been traded with that of Paolo, his fellow countryman preparing for next year’s Rio Carnival.
It is believed Rodrigo has had ten nose jobs, face lift, eye lift, jaw shaved, four ribs removed and pec implants among other procedures over the last 18 years.
